Some people beat themselves up (or reward themselves with 'treats to feel better') when they miss the mark. I find I cannot work with goals. Every time I set a goal weight I set myself up for failure - even after losing over 200 pounds, I still cannot adequately project my weight loss within the frame of a goal. <br /><br />I can stick to guidelines I set for myself and then reap the rewards of the weight loss that comes from that behavior.
